They cost more, not just because they use more material, but also because few factories are set to make them. They are a niche product, even within the niche that polyhedral dice are already in.
Why does a d10 have a 0?
The one with two digits is just telling you the tens digit, and the one with one digit is the ones digit. If you’re rolling only that die with 0, 10, 20, etc., then a 10 = a 1 and the 00 = a 10. 0 or 00 on a d10 just means the highest number.

Is Dark Elf dice legit?
Their prices are fair and shipping is cheap, and the dice are always good quality. I’ve yet to get dice with even minor paint imperfections from them. Overall, my experience with them has been stellar, and I have and will absolutely continue to recommend them as the best place to buy dice.
Are Expensive dice worth it?
There’s really no reason to buy costly dice unless you’ve got extra cash you want to use to indulge your aesthetic tastes. I generally buy random dice by the pound, and they work perfectly fine.
